Enterprise vs GP14 Vs Wayfarer

Hello, I am considering a number of boats as a family day sailor which has the potential to do more if need be. I am currently looking at the Enterprise, GP14’s and Wayfarers. People have said that a fiberglass Enterprise would be easier to launch compared to a GP14 or Wayfarer, however ‘may’ be just two small for 2 adults and 2 small children to sail in together. I would appreciate anyones comments on this.

Many thanks in advance.
Ron

Enterprise Setup

My 1963 Enterprise is in tiptop condition and can carry my weekend camping gear (if I stay upright) whilst moving along at a good clip. I have a question though; what will be the difference be (sails, mast, boom etc)when she is in racing or cruising mode?

Ideal weight for a 29er ?

I was wondering. My friend and I are sailing Laser 4.7s seperatley and decided that we would like to race a 29er. We were not sure what the ideal weight is for the crew. I just looked and it said 110 kg. That is quite heavy so i was wondering how much lighter do you have to be that 110 because otherwise we will have to stock up on the McDonalds!!

Thanks
David

Enterprise Dinghy – fitting rollocks.

Can anyone help? I recently bought an all-wooden Enterprise, and although I’ll be mostly sailing her, I’d like, if possible, to take the children fishing from time to time. Is it possible to fit rowlocks to an Enterprise, and if so, where should they be positioned? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks, Todd

Mirror Dinghy Plans

I had a mirror years ago and would like to build one. Does anyone know where to get a set of plans? I don’t want to buy a kit just the plans as I am in the USA and would like to build from scratch.

Thank you for any assistance anyone may afford me.

Corribee Owners Assosciasion

It is not possible to get through to the Corribee owners assosciasion . I have also just purchased a corribee mk 2 ‘giovanna’ which also has been restored as she was in need of some tlc . They are very strong, I know this as we have had to cut holes in numerous places around the boat and the fibreglass layup is very thick . The boat now has a lot of new fittings. If you do find out how to change the details on the owners assosiasion could you please comment on how to do it as I would be very keen to change my details of ‘giovanna’.

Have good sailing this season from Thomas Calcutt
