Trailer Sailer Towing

I have recently purchased a small trailer sailer, boat length 17′ 0″ The previous owner had the mast unstepped and laid on top of the boat with approximately equal lengths overhanging front and back. The mast is about 25′ 0″. Is there any reason I can’t trail the boat with the mast lowered but still stepped in the tabernacle? Obviously the mast would overhang the rear of the boat by about 15′ 0″ with this arrangement. I can find nothing in the towing regulations against this.

I am interested in purchasing a Swift 18 but it has a broken mast. I have tried and tried to find how to purchase a mast on the internet but have had no success at all. Can you help? Thanks Mike Jones

Vega 18 trailer sailer

I have a vega 18 trailer sailer which is fibreglass and i have a problem with the swing keel, it seems to slap from side to side in the keel box. I have been unable to get any drawings or information regarding the layout of the keel and I would be very grateful for any information you can give.

Corribee Owners Assosciasion

It is not possible to get through to the Corribee owners assosciasion . I have also just purchased a corribee mk 2 ‘giovanna’ which also has been restored as she was in need of some tlc . They are very strong, I know this as we have had to cut holes in numerous places around the boat and the fibreglass layup is very thick . The boat now has a lot of new fittings. If you do find out how to change the details on the owners assosiasion could you please comment on how to do it as I would be very keen to change my details of ‘giovanna’.

Mirror spinnaker setup

Hi,

I just bought a spinnaker sail, ali spinnaker pole and a spinnaker mast connector. I have sailed my mirror with and without jib on the mainsail, but have no idea of how to fit this spinnaker or where to put the pole or where to fit the spinnacre fitting on the mast, or even where to fit ropes on the sail itself, any ideas if there is a web site on how to fit and sail mirror spinnaker?

Hi there, I am lookin for info on the Swift 23, it is the bigger brother of the 18. I have seen a couple on Boats & Outboards but very little else. I have two growing kids and the 18 just isn’t big enough. Any pointers??

Having recently purchased a Swift 18, on first rigging I managed to snap the steel forestay cable in the Rotostay roller reefing system. Could anyone advise me where I could obtain a replacement cable.
